Luke Buck American Artist: Around Back

This old house sits in a remote area in central southern Indiana's hilly country at the bottom of the hill from Foxes Corner on the Upper Bean Blossom Road in Brown County. I painted it just this year, November of 2016, from photos I took back in the mid 1980's. It has been sitting empty through all these years and still stands, but now is on its last leg and almost beyond repair. Until I was 12 years old we always lived in a home with coal heat, no plumbing, and of course, an out-house out back. Considering this, I assumed the people who lived in this house were obviously rich, because their out-house was attached to the main house with an inside entrance. I painted a sequel to this painting of the front view of the home, titled of course, "Out Front".
